This Refund and Exchange Policy (“Policy”) constitutes a legally binding agreement between you (“Customer”) and SpeedScale Models (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing all purchases made through our store. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by this Policy in full. All sales are considered final except as expressly provided herein. We reserve the sole and absolute discretion to approve or deny any return, refund, or exchange request for any reason permitted by law.
Return requests must be submitted within fourteen (14) calendar days of confirmed delivery. To be considered for return, items must be unused, unassembled, undamaged, and in strictly original condition, including all original packaging, materials, documentation, and components. Any item returned in a condition that differs from its original shipped state, as determined solely by us, will be rejected and may be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense. Proof of purchase is required in all cases, and failure to provide valid proof of purchase will result in automatic denial of the request.
All sales of custom-built, modified, or made-to-order items are final and non-refundable under any circumstances once production has commenced. Additionally, pre-orders, limited edition items, discontinued items, clearance items, discounted items marked as final sale, consumable goods including but not limited to paints, adhesives, and tools, opened items, used items, partially assembled items, and gift cards are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable. No exceptions will be made except where required by applicable law.
If a return is approved, it must be shipped back in accordance with our instructions. The customer assumes all responsibility for return shipping costs, insurance, and risk of loss or damage during transit. We are not responsible for returned items that are lost, stolen, delayed, or damaged in transit. Returns that are received without prior authorization or that do not comply with our instructions may be refused. Upon receipt and inspection, we reserve the right to determine eligibility for a refund in our sole discretion. Approved refunds will be issued only to the original payment method and may be subject to a restocking fee of up to fifteen percent (15%). Original shipping charges are non-refundable under all circumstances except where required by law.
Exchanges are permitted only in cases where an item is proven to be defective, damaged upon delivery, or materially incorrect. All such claims must be submitted within seven (7) calendar days of delivery and must include verifiable photographic or video evidence acceptable to us. We reserve the right to determine whether a product defect exists. Replacement items are subject to availability and are not guaranteed. If a replacement is not available, we may, at our sole discretion, issue a refund or store credit.
Customers must report any damaged, defective, missing, or incorrect items within forty-eight (48) hours of confirmed delivery. Failure to report within this timeframe constitutes acceptance of the order as delivered and waives any claim related to such issues. We are not liable for damage occurring after delivery, including but not limited to damage caused by misuse, improper handling, modification, or normal wear and tear.
Orders may only be canceled within twenty-four (24) hours of purchase. After this period, all orders are considered final and may not be canceled, modified, or refunded. Custom or made-to-order items may not be canceled under any circumstances once production has begun. We are not responsible for delays, carrier errors, or delivery issues once an order has been transferred to a shipping provider.
By making a purchase, you agree not to initiate a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us and providing a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue. Any chargeback determined by us to be fraudulent, abusive, or filed in bad faith will be vigorously contested with supporting evidence. We reserve the right to pursue recovery of funds, fees, and associated costs to the fullest extent permitted by law, and to permanently refuse service to any customer engaging in such behavior.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SpeedScale Models disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Under no circumstances shall SpeedScale Models be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the purchase or use of our products. Our total cumulative liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for the product giving rise to the claim.
We reserve the right to modify, update, or replace this Policy at any time without prior notice. The version of this Policy in effect at the time of purchase shall govern that transaction. If any provision of this Policy is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
